Dear JES family,
Students learn best when they feel their best. That’s why we are pleased to announce HCS is partnering with Hazel Health to provide teletherapy services for all families to offer services over the summer and for the 2025-2026 school year.
Through our partnership, with family/guardian consent, every student can access high-quality care from home at no cost to their family. All students - insured, uninsured, and regardless of immigration status - can see diverse, multilingual providers right now from home or school during the 2025-2026 school year.
Here’s what we love about the partnership:
Students can get support with mental wellness within weeks
Students can get help with academic stress, anxiety, and peer relationships
It costs families nothing to see high-quality providers
Hazel Health’s providers are diverse and reflect our community
Students will not receive care without parent or guardian consent.

We are glad that you and your child are a part of our school community at Johnsonville Elementary. We have planned a spirit week to promote positivity in our school and community. During this week, students will get an opportunity to share why they love their school and what makes them proud to be an Eaglet. January 27th- 31st will be our spirit week. Please follow the list on the flyers below to participate.

SUN Bucks: A new food assistance program for school children.
Starting this summer, families that qualify can expect to receive $120 per eligible child in grocery-buying benefits on a debit-like card. These benefits can be used to purchase food at retailers that accept EBT, including most major grocery stores.
Visit the SUN Bucks webpage at www.ncdhhs.gov/sunbucks to learn more.
IMPORTANT: Some families will get benefits automatically sent to the mailing address in their child’s school record. Update your child’s mailing address by March 28th by contacting your child’s school.
