Dear Overhills Middle School Students, Parents, and Caregivers,
We are excited to soon welcome everyone back from summer break to a new school year at OMS. The Class of 2032 – 6th Grade Orientation is scheduled for August 7, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. General Open House is scheduled for August 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. We will offer a virtual open house (on-demand) again this year. The first day of school is August 13, 2025. To assist you with preparing for a successful year, please review the Overhills Middle School Supply List 2025-2026 and the OMS Bell Schedule 2025-2026. Open House is on August 11, 2025. During this time, families will receive more information about our school, visit their classrooms, and meet their teachers. Student schedules will be available through Infinite Campus the week before school starts.
Overhills Middle School is excited to continue our journey as a Leader in Me School. Our school will continue to focus efforts on providing opportunities to develop leadership and life skills that prepare students for success. Club sign-ups will begin the first week in September. All student-athletes should create accounts in Aktivate for sports registration.
We continue to prioritize safety, digital citizenship, and the following continued school improvement goals:
All students will meet or exceed their science growth targets and increase in cohort proficiency targets each year.
All students will meet or exceed their math growth targets and increase in cohort proficiency targets each year.
All students will meet or exceed their ELA/reading growth targets and increase in cohort proficiency targets each year.
Each student will develop the social, emotional, and character competencies that will promote learning.
The 2025-2026 OMS Student Handbook is available for review. Please note the district-wide transition to using Yondr Pouches for personal student technology, digital hall passes, and updates to athletic eligibility. Please review the OMS Yondr Student Personal Device Policy. Partnering with you is essential to the success of our young people. Throughout the year, we will host events for students and their families to engage in activities that promote learning, wellness, and a sense of belonging in our school community.
