Athletic Updates:
The JV Football Game for tonight has been cancelled. Varsity will play tonight at Overhills HS at 7pm.
Soccer won last night against WOHS 9-0. We will host a doubleheader on Monday. Terry Sanford will play Harnett Central at 5pm and THS will play at 7pm versus WHHS.
Volleyball will be playing Saturday in the first round of the state playoffs against W. Alamance 1pm start at CEMS.

THS is accepting nominations for the Governor's School of North Carolina. This is a 4-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on each of two campuses.
Students will be nominated by teacher recommendation or can self-nominate. In addition to reviewing the Nomination Packet and video linked below to determine if you are a good candidate for The Governor's School, students must also have a minimum GPA of 4.0 for Academic Disciplines and a minimum GPA of 3.5 for Performing/Visual Arts Disciplines.
Teachers will be contacted by Student Services to submit nominations. Students who are interested in self-nominating should email Ms. Stevens at mstevens@harnett.k12.nc.us by October 27th. An informational meeting will be held on October 30th for those interested. The specific date and time will be posted at a later date. Information will be shared about the application process at that time.
