Hello from Harnett County Schools.
Due to the impending storm, Triton High School will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, August 7 and 8.
-This means that Senior pictures scheduled for tomorrow will be postponed for a later date. All paid sessions will transfer to the updated picture day. We will inform you as soon as we get an updated schedule.
-Open House will be postponed until Tuesday, August 13, 5:00-7:00 pm.
-There will be no extracurricular activities Wednesday (8/7) or Thursday (8/8).

Triton High School's Open House Information:
ATTENTION RISING SENIORS
Triton will be making school nominations for the following merit based scholarships:
Morehead-Cain Scholarship (UNC-Chapel Hill)
Levine Scholarship (UNC-Charlotte)
If you are in the top 10% of the senior class, and wish to be considered for nomination by THS for either of these scholarships, please see the links below for preliminary information. Please read the selection criteria for each scholarship and make sure you meet the criteria before you apply.
Preliminary information is due to Mrs. Weaver on August 1, 2024 by 2:30pm. Email Mrs.Weaver with any questions at lweaver1@harnett.k12.nc.us.
Following the submission of this preliminary information, a THS selection committee will meet to determine school nominees. Final materials are due to UNC-Chapel Hill on October 1st and to UNC-Charlotte on November 15th. Check the individual schools' scholarship websites for full details.

We will be hosting a face-to-face recruitment event on Tuesday, June 11 at the Harnett County Public Library and Resource Center. This is a floating event that will begin at 2:00 PM and end around 4:00 PM. We are currently recruiting for all positions, both certified and classified. Non-licensed applicants who hold a 4-year degree in any area are welcome to attend to learn more about alternative licensure pathways into the classroom.

- **Doors Open:** 8:30 AM
- **Graduation Begins:** 9:30 AM
- **Venue:** John Pope Convocation Center Campbell University
**🔐 Entry Requirements:**
- **Ticket Required:** Everyone must have a ticket to enter.
- **Entry Point:** All guests must enter through the front doors.
- **Security:** Guests will go through the EVOLVE weapons detection system.
**📦 Clear Bag Policy:**
Campbell University Athletics has implemented a clear-bag policy for all facilities, including the Pope Convocation Center/Gore Arena. To minimize time at security checkpoints, familiarize yourself with the policy before arriving.
**✅ Approved Bags:**
- Clear tote bags (plastic, vinyl, or PVC) not exceeding 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- One-gallon clear plastic zip-style bags
- Small purses or clutch bags not exceeding 6.5″ x 4.5″
