Triton High School DECA recognized for Thrive Level Chapter Campaigns &
Achievement Level Chapter Campaign
Erwin, NC – Triton High School DECA was among 1,100 chapters that achieved Thrive Level
recognition during the 2024-2025 school year and will be commended at DECA’s International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held April 26-29, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Each fall, DECA offers four campaigns for chapters to complete as part of their program of leadership for the year. These campaigns are designed to grow membership engagement and build lasting partnerships within the school and local community. Chapters that achieve Thrive Level receive a commemorative pennant, flag and plaque. The chapters also have an opportunity to participate in ICDC. In order to receive Thrive Level recognition, the chapter completed two out of three chapter campaigns, including the community service campaign, ethical leadership campaign, and promotional campaign. Alternatively, the chapter could have participated in the membership campaign, which challenged the chapter to attain two of three goals: recruit 20 professional members, recruit 20 alumni members or increase student membership by 20 more members from the previous school year.
DECA’s promotional campaign provides chapter members an opportunity to share with their school and community what DECA is all about and how their chapter is making a positive impact on its members and community.
DECA’s ethical leadership challenge educates the local school and community about the
importance of ethics through a PSA video, school outreach activities and community outreach activities.
In DECA’s community service campaign, chapters held a community service activity, engaged at least 75% of its members, and created at least one form of publicity or promotion.
Each fall, DECA recognizes leading chapters that have built strong local programs focused on serving an exceptional number of members, advisors, alumni and business partners. These chapters and individuals dedicate their year to academic and career preparation, community service projects, membership recruitment, school outreach activities and other DECA-related endeavors. The chapter’s advisor and student leaders have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to DECA.
DECA’s membership campaign is designed to help chapters grow by making the DECA
experience available to more student members, keeping alumni involved and engaging
professional members such as administrators, teachers, parents and business partners.
Of the 4,127 DECA chapters, only 1,000 chapters earned recognition in DECA’s chapter
campaigns and only 1,214 chapters earned recognition in DECA’s membership campaign.
The DECA Lead Chapter Advisor at Triton High School is K. Hackett and the Co-Advisor’s are: A. Faulkner & A. Bryant.
