Harnett County Schools teachers in the residency pathway began their orientation today at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School.
Teacher residency is an alternate pathway to teaching for aspiring educators who hold a bachelor’s degree. This is a North Carolina-specific pathway that allows qualified candidates to start teaching and get on-the-job experience while completing licensure requirements.
