Mrs. Jennifer Black, Principal - Harnett Central Middle School

LILLINGTON, NC –  Harnett County Schools named Mrs. Jennifer Black as Harnett Central Middle School principal effective February 1, 2022. 

 An educator of 13 years, Black earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Management and a Master's in School Administration, both from Campbell University. 

Mrs. Blacked worked for eight years in Parks and Recreation before moving into education. Before becoming an administrator, Black taught health and physical education in Lee County for six years. She served as assistant principal at both Overhills and Boone Trail Elementary Schools and is currently the principal at Boone Trail Elementary. 

During her time with Harnett County Schools, Mrs. Black was recognized as Harnett County Schools Assistant Principal of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. In addition, she is a member of the Harnett County Principals and Assistant Principals Association (HCPAPA), the North Carolina Principals and Assistant Principals Association (NCPAPA), and a new member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Phi Chapter.  

“Mrs. Black is familiar with the Harnett Central community and is ready to work with the excellent staff, students, parents, and stakeholders,” stated Dr. Aaron Fleming, Superintendent. “I appreciate Mrs. Black for taking on this opportunity mid-school year.”
