LILLINGTON, NC – During the June board of education meeting, Dr. Aaron L. Fleming was presented with the 2023 Sandhills Regional Superintendent of the Year Award. Dr. Fleming is the first-ever Superintendent in the region to be presented with this honor for two consecutive years. The award was presented by the Sandhills Regional Education Consortium (SREC) Executive Director Dr. Ron Hargrave.
Dr. Fleming has served as the SREC Superintendents’ Council Members Chairman for the 2021-2022 school year.
Dr. Fleming states, “It is my goal to work diligently as an advocate for our students, teachers, and community. My top priority is to ensure every student receives a world-class education. I am honored to be recognized by my fellow colleagues and members of the SREC Superintendents’ Council.”
As the Sandhills Regional Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Fleming will have the opportunity to be chosen as the state’s Superintendent of the Year.
