Science Fair

Elementary and middle school students, in Grades 3-8, are invited to participate in their school's annual science fair. The science fair is an opportunity for students to conduct independent research of a science topic, using the scientific method. By participating, students strengthen skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and communication.

At the middle school level, there are six categories:

1. Biological Science A
2. Biological Science B
3. Chemistry
4. Earth/Environmental Science
5. Physics
6. Technology/Engineering

A first place and second place winner may be selected from each category, along with a "Principal's Choice" award. At the elementary level, projects are not divided into categories. Elementary projects will be judged by grade level. A first place and second place winner may be selected from each grade level, along with a "Principal's Choice" award.
