Black History Month at Angier Elementary School
Ms. Beverly Smith at Angier Elementary School celebrated Black History Month with her preschool students by sharing the story of one of her heroes, Mr. George Crum.
Mr. Crum is an American chef credited with being the inventor of the potato chip.
The class read “George Crumb and the Saratoga Chip” by Gaylia Taylor. The activity also included a “taste test” where students were able to sample from a variety of potato chip flavors and participate in a poll to see which one was best.
