Team Building and STEM are major areas of focus at #SummerBridge.
Rising 6th graders in Ms. Tiangha’s class learned to work together, and gained important leadership, problem solving, and listening skills. These activities nurture self-confidence, empathy and compassion. The cognitive and social abilities enhanced by team building is essential to student success, and help them be ready for middle school.
In Ms. Abella’s math class, the students used GeoModels to understand Euler’s formula for 3D shapes. They explored geometry and investigated the relationships and properties of three-dimensional figures.
Ms. Abella said her students enjoy using them, “I love when I can bring real life and math together in a way that makes it easier for them to understand”.
