Sarah Royal

Sarah Royal has served Harnett County Schools diligently as a special educator for the last 19 years.

 

As a leader in the classroom, she set the bar high for instruction in her classroom, frequently serving as a resource and instructional model for other teachers throughout the county. She served as an advocate for her students, often providing much-needed perspective in the midst of difficult situations. She served her students and their families with grace and compassion, which is evidenced in the students she served who remain in Harnett County today. 

 

In her current role as Harnett County's Low-Incidence Disability Program Specialist, Sarah has continued her work as an advocate for students in our ECS classrooms, In this role, she has brought her expertise back to the classroom through the training and support of teachers in our ECS classrooms. In addition to her work with teachers, Sarah serves as the lead of Harnett County's Autism Team and is active in seeking out opportunities for the Harnett County Schools EC Department to participate in research. These efforts have brought numerous research-based initiatives to our school district and have provided even more learning opportunities and resources to our teachers.

 

Sarah's character, knowledge, and dedication to the students and teachers in Harnett County have proven her to be an invaluable asset to those that she serves.
