Erwin Elementary School celebrated the history of Erwin in preparation for Denim Days.
Erwin was once known as the Denim Capital of the World, and the traditions and buildings remind us daily of that community spirit.
Students and staff participated in various activities and walked to the Erwin History Museum, with help from the Erwin Police Department.
The students were immersed in the history of the town, seeing the mill, old mill houses, and the fire department.
