Tell Me Something Good
Congratulations to Triton High School for winning the “Tell Us Something Good Award” in honor of Family Engagement month.

Sponsored by the Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC), this recognition program invited Families across North Carolina to nominate their child's school, for creating a positive experience for students with disabilities and their families.

Winners were determined by the number of votes cast for the submitted video or essay through the voting site.

Parent, Laura Wesselman nominated Triton High School for this award. Her moving testimony about her daughter, Erika’s experience earned THS the winning votes.

She shared how Erika loves her school, and credits her teacher Mrs. Dunn and principal, Mr. Jones for the remarkable experience.

She said that “They are very open-minded  to new ideas, and helping us parents carve a future for our children”.

Thank you to Beverly Roberts, Family Engagement Manager at ECAC, for presenting Mr. Jones with $1000 to be used towards a family engagement activity.

Funds will go towards initiating a student-run coffee cart in the EC classrooms, as a way to teach life skills and to promote a sense of community within the school.

We are grateful for Mrs. Wesselman for honoring Triton High School with this award nomination, and ECAC for gifting THS with this amazing opportunity.

Thank you Mrs. Dunn, Mr. Jones and the THS staff for all that you do to make Triton High School a place where everyone can learn and succeed.
