Ms. Cash and Mrs. Elliott at Anderson Creek Primary School is celebrating #ChristmasAllAroundTheWorld in Pre-K!
They went on a virtual tour to Mexico, England and Africa to learn about some of the different ways Christmas is celebrated in other cultures.
The students enjoyed making maracas, wreaths, and a Mkeka Mat.
These fun activities are a good way to build cultural competence in our students. Cross-cultural awareness in early childhood education programs promote healthy identity development, empathy, and inclusion — essential building blocks for learners to become future leaders who are globally competitive and highly productive.
