Where Are They Now

Where Are They Now:

Michael McNeil (Harnett Early College, Class of 2021)

Born and raised in Jamaica, Michael McNeil moved to North Carolina in 2016, continuing his educational journey right here in Harnett County. Driven by a lifelong passion for science and the determination to succeed, he attended the Harnett County Early College from 2018 to 2021, emerging as the youngest member of the graduating class with an Associate of Science degree.

He has been proud to represent his school over the years as President of the Student Government Association, as a member of the Student Advisory Board, and as a delegate to the Harnett County Business Education Partnership.

However, he finds even greater pride in the attributes which HCEC represents to him: patience, resilience, responsibility, and grit. These are attributes which he draws from each day as a rising college senior—attributes which define him as a student, as a major in Biological Sciences, and as a future biological researcher.

Now residing in South Carolina, you might run into him spending time with family, reading, writing, drawing...or losing at chess.
