Child Health Day
#ChildHealthDay
At Harnett County Schools, we believe in supporting the whole child. Aside from academics, we are working hard to foster the development and well-being of all our students.
Meet Jennev Finn, a school nurse passionate about helping others. She helps students thrive and grow by creating a healthy environment.
“I believe students must be healthy to be educated and educated to be healthy. School nursing is more than just applying Band-Aids and handing out ice packs. It’s providing comfort when someone is having a tough day. It’s being that shoulder to cry on when someone isn’t feeling their best. It’s providing compassion and a sense of security when students are away from their parents and guardians.”
Her goal as a school nurse is to provide optimal nursing care so your child can grow, learn, and achieve to the best of their ability. It truly takes a village to raise a child and we are honored to have Ms. Finn be a part of that village!
A healthy lifestyle encompasses many aspects of the whole child. Our students' mental and physical well-being are equally important. Below are links for some tips by age group and the importance of physical activity for children:
