Gifted learners from elementary schools across the county have been busy this past month! The nurturing students at Coats Elementary School integrated math skills and utilized the 4 C's (collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking) as they built "Cookies in a Jar". They also made Christmas ornaments and Christmas cards, along with the AIG students, to deliver to local nursing home residents.
South Harnett Elementary School's AIG students learned about physics, engineering, and math as they designed candy corn catapults and built a variety of ramps to test with toy cars. North Harnett Primary's nurturing students used magnetic tile challenge cards to construct innovative projects. And Overhills Elementary's nurturing students enjoyed themselves while working cooperatively on problem solving activities. We can't wait to see what else our students will be up to in the new year!!
