Harnett County Schools students from Harnett Central Middle School and Highland Middle School competed in the #MathCounts chapter competition in Fayetteville.
Out of sixteen students selected based on their individual scores for the countdown round, six of them were Harnett County Schools.
Christian Vazquez-Torrez, from HCMS came in second place in the countdown round.
Top students were also recognized for their individual scores. Logan Kellum from HMS was recognized for the second highest individual score.
Harnett Central Middle School won second place overall.
