Check out the ECU RIBN Program where you can earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing! One of the biggest benefits of this program is the cost: the RIBN program is approximately half the price of a traditional university nursing program, making it a smart and accessible option for many families. Through RIBN, students are dually enrolled at one of our community college partners and at East Carolina University. Over the course of four years, they complete both their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and their BSN.
📅 Application Period: September 1st - January 31st
Eligibility Requirements
· Direct from High School: Students must have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in required high school courses.
· After College Coursework: Students must have completed at least 12 or more hours of college credit with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in all required college courses.

We are writing to inform you about an important step we are taking to create a more focused, collaborative, and distraction-free learning environment for all students at Triton High School.
Beginning tomorrow at 10:30 AM during Homeroom, students will receive their Yondr pouch. This initiative is part of our effort to limit cell phone use during the school day and help students stay more engaged with their teachers, peers, and classroom activities.
What You and Your Student Need to Know:
-Phones must be turned to silent and placed into the Yondr pouch immediately upon receiving it.
-If you use a GPS feature for your child's phone, it will still work with the phone on Airplane Mode.
-Each pouch is individually numbered and assigned to a specific student.
-Students will be responsible for bringing and using their pouch each day, both in the morning and afternoon.
-At the end of the school day, students will unlock their pouch by tapping it on a Yondr magnet station located near building exits (in the Commons area).
-After removing their phone, students must re-close the pouch to avoid bending or damaging the internal locking pin. Each morning, the stations will be available for students to open their pouch, place their phone inside, then close again.
-If a pouch is lost or damaged, a replacement fee of $36.50 will be charged.
-Pouches will be turned in at the end of the school year.
-We are well aware of the great lengths some students will go to in order to circumvent this system!
Device Expectations & Consequences:
-If a student is seen with their phone or not using their pouch, their device will be confiscated until the end of the school day.
-On the second offense, a parent or guardian will need to come to school to retrieve the device.
-Further incidents will result in more serious consequences.
Students are not allowed to bring the following items during the school day:
-Headphones or earbuds
-Apple Watches or other smartwatches
-iPads or tablets
-Any other personal electronic devices
Students with a documented medical need for access to a device will be issued a medical pouch upon verification tomorrow morning.
If you need to contact your student during the school day, please:
-Call the front office at (910) 897-8121
-Email your student or their teacher directly
-Know that every classroom is equipped with a phone for emergency communication
Students will receive detailed instructions on proper pouch use and Yondr policies during their class meetings on Monday and Tuesday this week.
We appreciate your continued support as we move toward a more focused and connected school culture. We believe this initiative will encourage deeper learning, stronger interpersonal skills, and fewer distractions throughout the day.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your continued support,
Marshall Jones
