IN MEMORIAM: DEPUTY SHERIFF CHRIS JOHNSON Harnett County Schools is deeply saddened by the death of Harnett County Deputy Sheriff Chris Johnson. He served as a School Resource Officer at Highland Middle School. We are grateful for his service to our students and staff. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Grief counselors are available at the school to speak with any student or faculty member who may need additional support.

This special week is sponsored by ASCA (American School Counselor Association) and is designed to focus attention on the unique contributions of school counselors within U.S. school systems. ALL DISTRICT BAND CLINIC Harnett County Schools was represented well at the Southeastern All District Band Clinic held at Corinth Holders High School. Students auditioned on scales, solo, and sight-reading to qualify for this event. Congratulations to all the musicians from Harnett Central Middle School, Harnett Central High School, Overhills Middle School, Overhills High School, Triton High School, Western Harnett Middle School, and Western Harnett High School that were selected to participate. They had a great time learning new music and making new friends.
